Grab your ingredients

Cook onions & garlic


Cook the onions and garlic over a low heat so they don't brown. You just want the onions to be translucent.

Cook the pasta


Cook your spaghetti until al dente, then drain it. Make sure to save the pasta water for your sauce!

Combine the sauce


Use soaked cashews for an ultra-creamy sauce. Blend them with onions, garlic, salt, and pasta water.

Mix it together


Heat the sauce and spaghetti together in a large skillet, adding more pasta water as needed.

Taste & season


Season with salt, cracked black pepper, and nutritional yeast for extra savoury, "cheesy" flavors.



Garnish this espagueti blanco with vegan cotija, queso fresco, parsley, or cilantro.
