Dry ingredients

Whisk the dry ingredients first in a mixing bowl.

Wet ingredients

Add in vegetable oil and water, then mix together.

Knead

Knead the dough until it's a smooth and elastic consistency.

Shape

Divide and roll the dough into smaller pieces, then let them rest so the gluten bonds relax.

Flatten

Flatten the dough with a press or a rolling pin until it's very thin (almost see-through).

Cook

Fry the buñuelos in oil (pushing down on the bubbles) until golden on both sides.

Serve

Sprinkle with a cinnamon-sugar coating and serve immediately!
