Equipment

  • Double boiler or heat-safe bowl and saucepan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Freezer-safe pan
  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups dark chocolate chips ($4.60)
  • ¾ cup smooth peanut butter ($1.32)

Garnish optional

  • Peanut butter swirls

Instructions

  • First, measure out your chocolate chips into a bowl and melt them down using a double boiler or microwave. Make sure to keep an eye on the bowl so the chocolate doesn't burn.
  • Next, mix peanut butter into the same bowl and stir everything until smooth.
  • After the chocolate and peanut butter are mixed together, transfer it into a parchment-lined loaf pan. At this point, you can drizzle some more peanut butter on top and create swirls with a knife or toothpick.
  • Place the pan in a freezer to set for 2-3 hours, or until firm.
  • When you're ready to eat the fudge, remove the pan from your freezer and slice it with a slightly wet knife. Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 months or in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Notes

  • To achieve the exact flavor of this recipe, we recommended using the brands we mention in this post. Otherwise, you may have slight variations in taste.
  • If you can't find natural peanut butter with salt, add a pinch of sea salt to this recipe to create a richer flavor.
