Ingredients
 

Bread

  • 2 slices sourdough bread, or any of your choice ($0.30)

Toppings

  • 2 tbsp hummus ($0.13)
  • 1 tsp olive oil ($0.02)
  • 2-3 whole brown button mushrooms ($0.18)
  • ½ tsp thyme ($0.02)
  • ½ tsp rosemary ($0.02)
  • 1 tsp liquid aminos ($0.06)
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste ($0.02)

Garnishes optional

  • Microgreens ($0.02)
  • Hot sauce of choice ($0.02)

Instructions
 

  • Heat your oil in a frying pan on medium. In the meantime, slice mushrooms thinly.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the mushrooms and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add in rosemary, thyme, and liquid aminos. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes, or until tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste then set aside.
  • In the meantime, toast your bread and add a generous layer of hummus on top.
  • Top hummus with mushrooms and garnish with microgreens or hot sauce. Serve immediately.
