Air fryer green beans are a quick and easy side dish perfect to pair with all of your favorite mains! Green beans are coated in simple seasonings and cooked until tender and crispy.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For serving

  • Lemon wedges

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F. Wash, drain, and trim the ends off of the green beans. Add them to a mixing bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat the beans.
  • Transfer the green beans to your air fryer basket, being careful not to add too many at a time (it may take 2-3 batches for this recipe).
  • Cook at 380°F for 8-10 minutes, removing the basket halfway to toss the green beans. Serve immediately as a side dish or snack. Happy eating!

Notes

Minimal oil for maximum crispiness: Use just enough oil to coat the green beans lightly. Excessive oil can cause the beans to become soggy rather than crisp.
Toss halfway: Remember to set a timer on or off the air fryer to remove the green beans and mix or rotate the trays at the halfway point for an even cook.
Don't overcook: Keep a close eye on the cooking time. Overcooking green beans in the air fryer can dry them out and make them too crispy or even burnt.
Cool first: Let the green beans cool for a couple of minutes before serving them. This allows them time to crisp up.
Ensure the green beans are thoroughly patted dry so the olive oil and seasonings adhere to the beans better.
Be careful not to add too many green beans at a time. Overcrowding the air fryer basket can prevent proper airflow, resulting in uneven cooking.
